We cultivate in greenhouses, in tunnels and in open fields.

The greenhouses are located at 3 different locations (Lennik, Peulis and OLV-Waver) and it comprises a total of 3,8 ha. Most of the greenhouses can be heated but in the last couple of years there has been a major shift towards non-heated cultivation. Both fruiting vegetables (tomatoes, cucumbers, eggplants) and leafy vegetables are produced in greenhouses according to the season. but also for example strawberry is part of our offer.

The tunnels cover an area of about 1 ha. It contains the leafy vegetables in the transition period between greenhouse and open field cultivation, but also small fruits (blackberries, raspberries, strawberries). During the summer special varieties of tomatoes and beans are grown in the tunnels.

In the open field, we cultivate about 10 ha. The emphasis here is on a wide range of types of lettuce, zucchini’s, parsley, strawberries and pumpkins. In addition, several smaller crops.

A neighboring fellow organic grower produces the cabbage crops, potatoes and pumpkins for us on a larger, more open field organized company.

Pajottenland

Pajottenland is a rather touristic than geological given region in Flemish Brabant, part of the Green Belt (‘Groene Gordel’), bordered by the cities of Brussels, Halle, Edingen, Geraardsbergen, Ninove and Aalst. Characteristic of the region is its slightly hilly and rural character, giving it the nickname the 'Tuscany of the North’. It is largely comprised of the southwestern Brabants hills between the rivers Dender and Zenne.

The typical lambic, as well as the derived gueuze and fruit beers like kriek and raspberry lambic are still being produced in accordence with the traditional processes in the Pajottenland. Lambic is undoubtedly the oldest of any remaining beers. It is almost certain that it was already brewed around 1300.
